Every couple years, it’s fun to visit an award winning restaurant. Haha! It’s just fun to eat delicious food. Today we tried abcV in Manhattan. It’s near Union Square.

This restaurant is on the same list as Dirty Candy and Avant Garden in terms of seeking to celebrate vegetables. However, beware that honey and bee pollen are both ingredients used in some of the dishes. They were very kind and swaped out the non-vegan options for vegan ones.
The menu looks delicious and overwhelming. The tasting menu that the chef carefully curated was a better option for us.
Plate after plate of deliciousness landed in front of us and truly celebrated the flavors of each ingredient. And we were stuffed at the end of the meal.
There was one dish that I was not able to try as it was not gluten-free, but Hubby said it was just as delicious as the others. They also switched out the dessert because the one on the tasting menu has pineapple in it. That fruit makes my throat close up. Instead, we got pistachio mochi with passion fruit and blood orange. It was soooo good.

We sat at the chef’s table, but wasn’t as interesting as we hoped. The space is white and clean. The staff was wonderful about my diet. And the food stunning in so many ways. abcV gets five out of five vegan cupcakes.
