Hi, I’m Deanna. I went vegan in 1998 and have since watched many people become interested in the diet and lifestyle. When I started, I lived in a town of 70,000 people with no vegan or vegetarian restaurants. Learning to cook became important and making up my own recipes necessary.
One big change since 1998 is an increase in the number of people seeking advice about veganism. It can be a deeply personal and life-changing decision, a necessity due to food allergies, or a commitment to small changes that can have big impacts on one’s health, community, and the planet. Requests for information have led me to start teaching classes and offer cooking demonstrations in my community. In 2018, as a veganversary gift, I became certified as a Vegan Lifestyle Coach & Educator, and in 2020 I became a Master Certified Vegan Lifestyle Coach & Educator. I also earned a certification in plant-based nutrition through the T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies.
An Everyday Vegan provides personalized lifestyle coaching for anyone wanting to transition to veganism or a whole food plant based diet. One-on-one time and tailored information shed light onto how easy veganism can be. I seek to help make the world a better place one meal at a time.
My kitchen is not full of unique ingredients or expensive tools, but it is full of delicious food and I invite you to be part of it.
