Even in a pandemic restaurants are opening! It’s pretty cool and I try to support as best I can. Monster Vegan in Philadelphia opened during the pandemic and I have ordered dinner twice. It’s mostly Italian food and very much the creamy and rich approach to Italian food.
Most recently we ordered Cesar salad, fettuccini alfredo with garlic bread, and cheesesteak rolls. So fun to try everything!
Very rich and heavy, except the salad. Some would describe the food as oily or greasy. But it really mimics the original non-vegan dishes.
We enjoyed eating these dishes. Even the cheesesteak rolls made with Beyond Meat. I don’t typically enjoy Beyond Meat. Monster Vegan gets three out of five vegan cupcakes. Ordering was easy and the food yummy, even if greasy.
