I don’t know when the Tofurky Ham became available, but I had a coupon and Hubby showed interest in trying it. So it came home with me and sat in the freezer for several months. I’m not a huge faux meat eater, but it’s fun to try new things.
The box says to bake it for a long time and, of course, I didn’t want to. So I sliced the defrosted “ham” and placed slices in the air fryer. I also roasted veggies and made mashed potatoes.
The flavor reminded me of ham, but it is not an exact replacement. This is a good thing for me. Hubby was not super impressed. I think it would be good in other dishes rather than eaten as a side.
If looking for a faux ham, this could be for you. This texture was like a Tofurky, but the flavor more like ham. Give it a try.
What did you set your air fryer to and for how long?
Hi! I used the regular recommended 400 degrees on the air fryer and I think 5 minutes for every couple pieces. I waited until they looked a little crispy on the outside. I hope you like it!
