I was volunteering at an event west of Lancaster, Pennsylvania and got hungry. It’s a theme for me. I pulled out my trusty super computer that fits in the palm of my hand and asked what was nearby. It revealed brunch. Brunch?? Vegan and gluten free brunch in central Pennsylvania? Why, yes. Adventure planned!
Turning Point is a brunch place west of Lancaster City, but still in the county. I walked into a bustling space with a seat open at the coffee bar.

The vegan options are not super extensive, but exactly what I had read online. I ordered a vegan and gluten free waffle covered in strawberries and bananas with a side of Just Egg and greens. It was so much food! And delicious.

I never get to have waffles unless I make them at home, so this was a big treat. I forgot to ask them to make my waffle extra crispy the way I like, but that’s all on me.

The space is open, noisy, busy on a Sunday afternoon, and has very kind staff. Definitely give Turning Point a try when in the area. Three vegan cupcakes and I will be going back. I look forward to trying the grain bowl.
