About a week before ThanksLiving a friend said that the Field Roast Hazelnut Cranberry Roast was her favorite for a holiday meal. Challenge accepted! I had never had this roast and a couple days later it was on sale at my grocery store.
Reading through tips for a tasty roast I came across the idea of slicing the roast after thawing and cooking by slice in the air fryer. Well, that would save a bunch of baking time. Worth a try!
I let the roast defrost in my fridge for a couple days, sliced it, and then air fried several slices at a time for five minutes. The slices came out a bit crispy and very warm. It was wonderful!
I smothered my slices in gravy and enjoyed with mashed potatoes and green bean casserole. Yummers!
I’m not sure it’s my favorite roast, but I did enjoy it. I would have to try several together to pick a favorite. Leftover slices went into sandwiches with leftover gravy, tomato, and butter lettuce. Another yummers! If this roast is available, give it a try. If you have an air fryer, definitely give that a try too.
