Greens And Grains

Greens and Grains is a small chain in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. A location recently opened in Philly, but I haven’t had a chance to visit. About two weeks ago I was in New Jersey and hungry, so we stopped at an Express location to pig out.

Express means most items are available in a grab and go case. We picked out a Chk’n Sand Wrap, a Buffalo Chk’n Kale Cesar Wrap, a juice, sesame noodles, a smoothie, and soft serve. We had to try the soft serve!

The soft serve is very sweet. The kind of sweet that is nice at first and then too sweet half way through. The Buffalo wrap was not great and the sesame noodles were way too salty. We went back and got a green salad to add to the noodles and balance out the salt. The smoothie mostly tasted like almonds. Overall we were disappointed.

The person who helped us was patient. We needed that being new to their counter ordering with grab and go options. The space was clean and we ate outside under an umbrella. That was nice.

I will have to visit another Greens and Grains to see if the food is different. Right now, Greens and Grains gets two out of five vegan cupcakes. I want to give it another try, but I’m not optimistic.
