Peace-Garden Vegetarian Paradise is not at all what I expected. I’m not sure what I expected, but this wasn’t it. It is a very cute little place inside a large office building. It seems like a fantastic place to get lunch on a cold winter day because lots of natural light comes into the atrium.
It took us a while to figure out what to order. There are daily specials listed outside the restaurant that the kind staff had to show us, as well as a menu hanging from the ceiling. There are also lots of different options packaged and hanging around in different places. We finally settled on a curry plate for Hubby and lasagna for me. We ordered the vegan option for both and picked up two glasses of hibiscus tea.
Despite everything clearly reheated, it was all delicious. Surprisingly delicious. And filling. The curry dish had three different delicious vegetable scoops of foods with rice. My lasagna was full of vegetables and was accompanied with a crispy salad. Having had so much trouble picking out what to order, I decided we could wait to see if we were still hungry for anything else. But we were full.
Peace-Garden Vegetarian Paradise gets three out of five vegan cupcakes. The food is good and the staff kind. However, the menu in multiple places is confusing and the food is reheated. I would definitely return, especially on a cold, sunny day. The space reminded me of and old-school vegetarian restaurant, but the food is much tastier.
