A local farmer’s market has Dare vegan cheeses. We picked up the Ashville Chedda to try. I’m not normally a big fan of Cheddar flavors and I always think of cheddar as a hard cheese.
This cheese is soft and creamy. The creaminess impacts the flavor a bit, which is very nice. But I wouldn’t say it tastes like cheddar. It doesn’t have that tangy bite I expect with a cheddar. Though, I did enjoy it. It’s worth trying for yourself if the opportunity comes your way.
