Rawgirls in Memphis

We were in Memphis, Tennessee, on a very hot day. I was melting. Eating raw was the perfect option. Bonus that Rawgirls was on our way to the National Civil Rights Museum.

Rawgirls is a small, order at the counter and go, space. There are three tiny tables jetting out of the wall, but most people don’t eat there. We did because we had nowhere to take our lunch.

There are lots of places to look for what to order. There are the menus at the counter, the sign as walking in, and the fridges. Hubby went straight for the fridges. I quickly followed.

I picked out the Taco Salad and the Beale Street Berry Bliss smoothie. Hubby picked out the Yukon Potato Salad and the Grizz Nation Protein smoothie. We also settled on the raw lemon cheesecake to try.

The salads were very fresh. Expect to be chewing for some time. Hubby got tired of chewing. Haha! The smoothies were so thick that we had a very difficult time drinking them and eventually gave up. The cheesecake was okay. I wouldn’t get it again.

If I worked in downtown Memphis and wanted a salad for lunch, Rawgirls would be a good option. However, I wouldn’t go back for a regular meal or take anyone there. Interestingly, they had a hot curry soup. Yes, a raw restaurant on a very hot day. Strange, right? The staff was patient with our prolonged ordering, but no other customers were there at the time. Rawgirls gets two out of five vegan cupcakes. It just wasn’t what it could be.
