Flip in Dublin

In George’s St. Arcade in Dublin, Ireland, there is a small vegetarian restaurant called Flip. The arcade is a marketplace that is also worth exploring. The thing is that it all closes before dinnertime. Visits have to happen during the day.

Searching for an early dinner meant Flip was still open. Hubby had been saying all day that he wanted a burger. Well, his desires were about to be fulfilled.

Flip does a nice job of labeling all the things to know which are vegan versus vegetarian. And gluten-free is not a challenge when burgers can be ordered over salad.

We were starving and ordered several items. I picked out The Lifter over salad and a strawberry shake. Hubby ordered The Flipper, fries with cheese sauce and jalapeños, a cookies and cream shake, and a chocolate chip cookie.

While we waited for our food, we enjoyed looking at photos of exhibits from Burning Man.

Our shakes arrived first. It was hard not to drink them right away.

The strawberry shake was as sweet and cold as I hoped it would be. Hubby said his shake was very good.

The Lifter was just okay. It needed more flavor. Hubby said the Flipper was delicious. The fries were decent. Hubby said the cookie was good, and he is very picky about his cookies.

The staff also kind with us as we figured out what to order. Helping us make sure our orders fit our desires.

The space itself is small and warm. The grills must be adding warmth to the space. With limited seating inside, plan to take orders to-go sometimes.

Flip gets three out of five vegan cupcakes. I found the food to be just okay, but Hubby was very pleased.
